iRunway hires Semiconductor & Intellectual Property expert as Senior Vice President
Carlos Greaves Brings 30 Years of Semiconductor & IP Industry Experience to Growing Technology Consulting Firm

Greaves, an intellectual property and technology expert with more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and IP industry, has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and Head of its semiconductor vertical.
Greaves has been an IP expert and board licensed professional engineer engaged in monetizing IP for several technology companies. He specialized in IP commercialization, with a strong emphasis on reverse engineering and evidence of use analysis, technical research, portfolio analysis, defensive and assertion support, patent licensing, litigation support, and divestiture due diligence. In this new role, Greaves will lead the growth of the semiconductor vertical and anchor solution development efforts for the company.

Prior to joining iRunway, Greaves was Acting Director and Principal Engineer at Intellectual Ventures, where he led technical analysis and monetization efforts for patents from their Invention Investment funds. He also anchored patent acquisition efforts for selected technologies in IV’s Invention Investment Ireland fund. Prior to Intellectual Ventures, Greaves was an IP expert and senior member of the technical staff for licensing at Freescale Semiconductor. At Freescale, Greaves was engaged in several patent assertion campaigns covering a broad range of technical areas. Before Freescale, Greaves was with Motorola where he held key management and technical roles. Greaves is an inventor on 17 U.S. patents in the field of analog and mixed signal circuit design, telecommunications, digital signal processing, memory, and communication processors.
